The State Forest Service (SFS) has prepared CD with the information of the beginning of 2004.

There are two options in using the CD:
- to have an overview of the data, use any of the Internet browsers (for example, MS Internet Explorer);
- to analyze the data, use MS Excel.

On inserting the CD-ROM, the internet browser is activated automatically. In case of a failure the browser may be activated manually by CD:\index.html.

If your computer has no internet browser, you can have access to the data files in the Excel form CD:\en\xls\ as well as to the descriptions of these files in the directory CD: \en\txt\.

- The menu "About CD" explains the use of the CD.
- The menu "Form Description" gives the denomination of each form, including a short description of the form.

A compilation of all forms about the country is available in the English and the Russian languages in one file where each MS Excel sheet responds to the particular form. If you would like to view a more detailed information about the administrative territorial units, you should see the forms in the Latvian language by using the attached dictionary.
